On Wednesday, we finally managed to make it to a Corvallis Beer & Blog session.
Beer & Blog is a Portland creation that is spreading fast and furious around the world. This week's session, held at Cloud 9, was about embedding video inside blogs. *yawn* I'm more excited about the prospect of meeting more people in town and socializing over a beer. I ran into an old teacher of mine, John Sechrest, at this weeks meeting, and Betsey met a wonderful woman named Hope that may be able to help her with Medical Physics grants.
After filling up on happy hour beer and food (mac & cheese for her, apricot hot wings for him), we headed over to Nate's to start a long journey through the entire Babylon 5 sci-fi series. We watched the pilot and the first episode of season one. It's not great yet, but we can see the promise of greatness and we're excited for that.
